MTR Bee is a housing provider for construction crews working on large-scale projects across Texas. We match traveling workforces with furnished homes — fast, flexible, and at a fraction of hotel costs.
Born from the property management side
MTR Bee started from an observation on the property management side. Our sister company, Second Home Hosting, manages over 100 furnished properties across Central Texas — mostly short-term and mid-term rentals.
We kept getting calls from construction companies asking the same thing: “Do you have homes near the data center site? We need housing for 20 workers next week.”
The need was obvious. Large projects — data centers, solar farms, industrial builds — bring hundreds of workers to cities that don't have enough hotel rooms or short-term rentals to accommodate them. Companies were spending hours calling hotels, browsing Airbnb, and patching together housing solutions that fell apart.
We realized we were sitting on the solution. With 100+ managed properties, established vendor relationships, and a team that already handled turnover, maintenance, and guest coordination — we could house construction crews faster and cheaper than anyone else.
